Summary

The ITxPT (Information Technology for Public Transport) service enables standardized communication between different public transport systems. This configuration allows you to manage ITxPT compliant services on your router, making it compatible with the ITxPT ecosystem for public transportation.

Service configuration

Field Value Description
Enabled off | on; default: off Enable/disable ITxPT service.
Unique ID string; default: none Network unique identifier to avoid conflicts with ambiguous names. It can be an arbitrary distinct number, the host name, the serial number, etc. It shall not contain the character “_”. If empty, hostname is used as unique ID.

Services

Enable or disable specific ITxPT services and configure their DNS service discovery properties. Each service provides different functionality within the ITxPT ecosystem and can be individually configured.

Inventory off | on; default: enabled with service configuration Only used to describe router information via DNS record. Also opens TCP server on port 9 and discards any data sent to from the client
Priority integer [0..65535]; default: 0 DNS record priority
Weight integer [0..65535]; default: 0 DNS record weight.
Time off | on; default: off Starts NTP server and creates DNS record.
GNSS Location off | on; default: off Enables GPSD service and sends XML formatted packets to 239.255.42.21 multicast address every second (when GPS fix is available). Also creates DNS record.
MQTT Broker off | on; default: off Starts MQTT broker with 1883 port and creates DNS record.
