As of February 22nd, 2022 AT&T clients will no longer be able to access the mobile network through 3G frequencies as they’re being shut down. More and more operators across the globe are completing their 5G infrastructure and closing less used cellular frequencies in exchange to provide the best possible internet surfing experience to the users.
+
As of '''February 22nd, 2022''', AT&T, due to ongoing network improvement and 5G service expansion, will phase out its 3G network. This article will describe what steps are necessary to prepare for upcoming changes.
   −
=== So, what happens to my Teltonika Networks devices? ===
+
== What actions do I need to take? ==
3G will still be available as an option of technology to use with all other operators, but with AT&T it will no longer be effective.
+
While AT&T will shut down its 3G network, Teltonika Networks devices will still work with other 3G service providers. There will be a required firmware upgrade to make sure that 4G/LTE Category 1,  3 and 4 devices in the U.S could still connect to 4G even after the scheduled sunset.
   −
Firmware for each compatible device will be released to ensure the stability and to fit regulation changes.
     −
=== What actions do I need to take? ===
+
'''You must upgrade the affected devices''' (table below) to the latest firmware before '''February 22nd, 2022'''. Failing to execute the following action will leave your devices unable to use mobile data connection.
Make sure your devices are updated to following versions in order to successfully continue using AT&T services after February 22nd, 2022:
     −
For RUTOS capable devices: '''07.01.2'''
+
== Affected products ==
   −
For RUT9XX legacy users: '''06.08.6'''
