PPWR

The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) was adopted by the European Union to harmonize requirements related to packaging sustainability, recyclability, and waste reduction. The regulation establishes requirements for packaging design, including recyclability, reduction of hazardous substances, and increased use of recycled content. It also introduces obligations for labeling, identification, and traceability of packaging, as well as targets for waste reduction and reuse systems.
