Port forwarding does not work, what should I do?
First, you must clarify these crucial points:
- verify if your router can be accessible via WAN interface: either via Public IP, VPN IP or otherwise;
- your LAN device that you configure Port forwarding to must have its Default Gateway (GW) set to Teltonika router’s IP address, otherwise Port Forwarding will not work.
If above does not help, further steps would be to use some form of packet capture software to determine where the packets are getting lost: either with the TCPDUMP function (can be initiated via CLI or SSH with this command: tcpdump -i interface_name) of Teltonika routers, or a Wireshark-like tool on other machines.
