RUTM31 Site Manager Devices
The information in this page is updated in accordance with firmware version RUTM_R_00.07.20.3.
Summary
Site Manager is a centralized management interface used to configure, monitor, and maintain devices and services within a site. This gives administrators the ability to view device status, grouping, and change device settings.
Overview
The Devices > Overview page provides a centralized view of all devices discovered or managed within the site.
When you first visit the overview page, you will be asked if you want to enable the website manager feature:
Once the feature is enabled, the site manager automatically scans the network and searches for supported devices (currently TAP and TSW series devices are supported).
This page is used to:
To start pairing the devices, press the "Pair" button (status changes from Unpaired -> Pairing -> Syncing -> Paired). Note: sometimes you are asked to enter the device password.
Note: After successful pairing, the devices WebUI becomes unavailable.
Actions
There are two actions types when devices are paired.
Edit action for TAP access points:
| Field | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | string; default: none | Name of the device. Used for easier device management purpose only. |
| Hostname | string; default: | Name of the hostname. |
| Synchronize NTP settings | off | on; default: off | Synchronize NTP settings with manager device. |
| Troubleshoot file | -(interactive button) | Downloads the device's Troubleshoot file. It contains the device's configuration information, logs and some other files. |
| Field | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Mode | DHCP | Static | Static + DHCP; default: DHCP | Name of the device. Used for easier device management purpose only. |
| Management VLAN | default | Add new; default: default | A management VLAN is the VLAN that is used to separate management and user data traffic for remotely manage, control, and monitor the devices in you network. |
| IPv4 address | IPv4; default: none | Your router's address on the network. |
| IPv4 netmask | netmask; default: 255.255.255.0 | Netmask defines how 'large' a network is. |
| IPv4 gateway | IPv4; default: none | The IPv4 gateway address used by this interface. An interface's default gateway is the default address through which all outgoing traffic is directed. |
| IPv6 address | IPv6; default: none | The IPv6 address interface of this interface. An IP address identifies a device on a network and allows it to communicate with other devices. |
| IPv6 gateway | IPv6; default: none | The IPv6 gateway address used by this interface. An interface's default gateway is the default address through which all outgoing traffic is directed. |
| DNS servers | IPv4; default: none | DNS server addresses that this interface will use. If left empty, DNS servers are assigned automatically. |
Status action for TAP access points:
Displays basic information about the paired TAP device and allows you to perform three main functions: edit device settings (RUTM31_Site_Manager#Edit_action_for_TAP_access_points:), reboot the device, or upgrade it:
Edit action for TSW switches:
| Field | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | string; default: none | Name of the device. Used for easier device management purpose only. |
| Hostname | string; default: | Name of the hostname. |
| Synchronize NTP settings | off | on; default: off | Synchronize NTP settings with manager device. |
| Troubleshoot file | -(interactive button) | Downloads the device's Troubleshoot file. It contains the device's configuration information, logs and some other files. |
| Field | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|

| IPv6 address | IPv6; default: none | Assigns an IPv6 address for this interface. CIDR notation: address/prefix. |
| IPv6 gateway | IPv6; default: none | IPv6 default gateway. |
| DNS servers | IPv4; default: none | Servers that will be used for matching website hostnames (e.g. example.com) to their corresponding Internet Protocol or IP addresses. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses may be used. |
| Field | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Port name | string; default: none | Name of the port. This is only used for easier management purposes. |

Status action for TSW switches:
Displays basic information about the paired TSW device and allows you to perform three main functions: edit device settings (RUTM31_Site_Manager#Edit_action_for_TSW_switches:), reboot the device, or upgrade it:
Groups
The Devices › Groups page in Site Manager is used to view, create, and manage device groups by platform type. Device groups help organize and apply configurations to similar devices (such as access points or switches) in a centralized way.
