RUTX10 Product Change Notifications

Product change notifications (PCN) is a way of informing customers of upcoming changes related to Teltonika Networks products. This includes outward appearance adjustments, hardware improvements, changes to package contents, etc. Changes related to a product's firmware are not included in PCNs (click here to see the firmware changelog).

This page stores information regarding changes to the RUTX10 device. Below you will find a list of both upcoming and already implemented changes sorted by newest to oldest (top to bottom).

2025.07.22: New RUTX10 hardware revision

Starting from Q3 2025, RUTX10 routers will be manufactured with updated hardware and will require firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.14 or newer to function properly. Change Notification! As of 2025-08-05, a revision has been made to this PCN document: the required firmware version has been updated from RUTX_R_00.07.12 to RUTX_R_00.07.14.

Detailed description	All RUTX10 devices manufactured starting from Q3 2025 will feature a new hardware revision. Devices with the new hardware will require firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.14 or newer. It is recommended to use the latest firmware version, at least RUTX_R_00.07.15. Starting from Q3 2025, RUTX10 devices will include the following hardware changes: Manufactured with TPM Manufactured with an updated Bluetooth chip Please note that this change will be implemented gradually, throughout a 3-month transitional period starting from Q3 2025. During this period, your shipments of RUTX10 may consist of either the current or the new hardware as described above.

Change impact
Risk assessment	All risks are firmware-related. It is strongly advised to test firmware release RUTX_R_00.07.14 or newer on the updated RUTX10 hardware revision devices. New hardware support starts from RUTX_R_00.07.14 FW version, older FW versions will not be compatible. Custom firmwares created from an SDK will need adjustments for a new SDK version.

2025.06.25: QSG flyer replacement

Beginning in July 2025, RUTX10 devices will come with a new QSG flyer in the packaging.

During this period, your shipments of RUTX10 July consist of either the current design or the new one described above.

2025.05.26: Mass Packaging changes

Beginning in June 2025, the mass packaging for RUTX10 will updated with the following changes.

Detailed description	Starting in June 2025, the mass packaging box for the RUTX10 will be updated as follows: New box dimensions: 360 × 315 × 157 mm (previously 360 × 315 × 185 mm). Increased shipping quantity: Each packaging box will now contain 26 units instead of the previous 25 units. Individual packaging: Every RUTX10 unit will now be packed in an individual box before being placed in the packaging box. The visuals below do not represent the actual product packaging; they are for reference purposes only.

2025.03.25: Greengrass Service Removal with RutOS 7.14

With the release of RutOS version 7.14, support for the RUTX10 Greengrass service will be discontinued.

2025.02.25: Mobile and I/O POST/GET Service Removal with RutOS 7.14

With the release of RutOS version 7.14, support for the RUTX10 POST/GET service will be discontinued to enhance security while maintaining device functionality through alternative methods.

2025.02.24: Implementation of Read-Only System Files in RutOS 7.14

With the release of RutOS version 7.14 in Q2 2025, in RUTX10 devices will implement read-only permissions for critical system files by default. The new read-only configuration ensures a more secure and stable environment, though it may affect those who perform non-standard operations.

2025.02.20: WebUI Mode Update with RutOS 7.13

2024.12.09: Transition to HTTPS protocol RutOS 7.12

With the release of RutOS version 7.12 in January 2025, RUTX10 devices will disable the HTTP protocol and enable HTTPS Redirect by default to enhance WebUI and API communication security.

Detailed description	With the release of RutOS version 7.12 firmware, the device's WebUI and API default communication methods will change. The HTTP protocol will be changed to HTTPS (only) in default configuration for security reasons and complying with security standards. The "HTTPS Redirect" functionality will be enabled by default so all HTTP requests will be automatically redirected through the HTTPS channel.

2024.11.22: Device Housing - Engraving/Labeling changes

Starting from December 2024, RUTX10 devices will be produced with top and bottoms stickers.

2024.09.18: EAN Code Change

Starting from October 1st 2024, new order codes created will have their own unique EAN codes.

2024.03.08: Reset button functionality change RutOS 7.07

With the release of RutOS version 7.07, RUTX10 device will experience changes related to the security improvements of the device.

2023.10.30: Firmware Requirement Change

Starting November 2023 with batch 40, all RUTX10 devices will be manufactured with a new firmware version and will support only firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.05.3 or newer.

Starting from 2022, week 40, RUTX10 routers will come with a new QSG flyer in the packaging.

2022.10.06: Changes in engraving/labeling

Starting from 2022, week 40, RUTX10 routers will be produced with modified bottom engraving/labeling.

The formatting for the remaining information on the labeling/engraving will be adjusted, and the Fira font will be used instead of Arial. 2020.08.14: changes in bottom labeling

Effective 2020, week 36, RUTX10 routers will be produced with modified bottom labeling/engraving.
