Introduction

Disabling LEDs on a router or other electronic device can have a small but measurable impact on power efficiency. While the power consumption of individual LEDs is relatively low, when a device has multiple LEDs that are always on, the combined power consumption can add up over time.

By scheduling the LEDs to turn off during certain times, such as at night when the device is less likely to be used, you can reduce the overall power consumption of the device and save a small amount of energy and money over time.

In this example we will configure scheduled LED activation / deactivation during certain times of the day.
