==Summary==
Starlink is a satellite internet connectivity technology, developed by SpaceX, a US-based aerospace company. Satellite connectivity can be very helpful in areas with no or poor mobile service or broadband internet. Starlink CPE (<i>Customer Premises Equipment</i>) contains a satellite dish, router, and an Ethernet cable. <br>
Since the included router does not contain any additional Ethernet ports (other than the one used by the dish), an <b>Ethernet adapter</b> will be needed to connect Starlink to third-party devices, including Teltonika Networks routers. This guide will outline a few troubleshooting steps to take when dealing with Starlink issues.

==Possible causes==
There could be one or more causes of unsatisfactory experience when using the Starlink equipment with third-party devices:
===Starlink app reports slow speeds===
----
For the most accurate speed results, make sure to use [https://www.speedtest.net/ Ookla Speedtest] service on a device connected to Teltonika Networks equipment. The speed test servers on the Starlink app are often congested and do not provide very accurate results. <br>
===Physical limitations===
----
It should be noted, that our devices from RUT, TCR, and TRB2 series lineup include 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, which will limit the maximum speed that can be achieved by using Starlink equipment to around 100Mbps. We recommend using RUTX lineup to achieve the best speeds possible.<br>
===Often disconnections===
----
Make sure the Starlink dish has a good visibility to the satellites, as even an obstruction of a few percent can cause often disconnections and unsatisfactory experience.
===Physical connection issues===
----
If the Starlink app reports issues between the dish and the router, make sure that the Ethernet cable between the Ethernet adapter and Teltonika device is not damaged, and is terminated properly. All 4 pairs of cables must have a good connection to negotiate 1Gbps speeds. Additionally, make sure the cable between the dish and the Ethernet injector is not damaged.
