The Management part of RMS mainly focuses on the monitoring of your entire device fleet and is currently the main part of using RMS. For each device, one credit activates 30 days of RMS service.
Depending on the Services -> Management configuration for each of your devices, a credit will get automatically used after the 30 days (if '''''Auto-extend''''' is enabled for that device) and the service will continue without any interruption. <br>
'''Note''': Devices that have never been registered to RMS before receive a free 30 days of trial service, meaning a credit will not be used for the first 30 days once the device connects to RMS.

These parts of the platform use RMS data to function:
* For the RMS Connect functionality - Connecting to end devices uses RMS data. How much is used depends on which RMS Connect variant you are using. For example, using Remote Desktop uses more data if you are doing more graphically intensive work on the remote end device.
* RMS VPN uses RMS data for all of its VPN connections. Used data of each currently active connection is tracked as well as the total used data of the entire VPN hub.

RMS packs, similarly to credits, can be assigned to devices and used in different parts of RMS. Different RMS packs are used with different parts of RMS.
Currently available packs:
* Management pack - 10 years;
* Management pack - 5 years;
* Data pack - 150 GB.

Management packs can be assigned to a device to acquire RMS Management service. The pack determines how much additional service the device gets. For example, assigning a 5 year management pack to a device increased its Service expiration date to 5 years from the time of pack assignment. A Management pack cannot be revoked once it is assigned to a device. Only one Management pack can be active on a device.

Data packs can be assigned to a device to get an amount of RMS data indicated in the pack. In most cases, the newly assigned data can only be used by that specific device and takes priority over company data acquired using standard credits. A data pack cannot be revoked once it is assigned to a device. Only one data pack can be active on a device.

Otherwise, if your device has already used a credit in one company, registering the device to another company will use a new credit once the device connects when registered in the other company.
