ARCOTEL (Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones) is the regulatory agency responsible for the regulation and control of telecommunication equipment. It also monitors the use of radio spectrum frequencies to ensure accordance with country specific resolutions. Wireless products, telecommunication terminal equipment, cellular, satellite, and other PSTN equipment require approval and certification in Ecuador prior to importation and commercialization.

The Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency (ARCOTEL) in accordance with the provisions of Article 144 of the Organic Telecommunications Law published in Official Register No. 439 of February 18, 2015 and the Regulation for Equipment Homologation and Certification telecommunications terminals issued by Resolution 03-03-ARCOTEL-2017 of May 10, 2017 and published in the Official Registry No. 15 of June 15, 2017, grants the following CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL, counting for this purpose with the request made with the entry procedure No. ARCOTEL-DEDA-2020-012474-E of September 16, 2020 and the TECHNICAL REPORT-IT-CCDH-GH-2020-029671 of November 23, 2020.
