Remote Recovery

If your device is installed at a remote location and no physical access is available, you can try using some of the remote recovery options listed below.

• RMS. If the device has an active data connection, you can create an account and register your device on RMS. From there you can utilize these recovery options:
  • Access the device's WebUI
  • Reach the device's CLI
  • Configure the device
  • Download a Troubleshoot file
  • Reboot the device
• SMS reboot. If the device has a SIM card that supports SMS, you can reboot it with a text message. Simply enter your device's admin password followed by the text reboot and separated by a space:
  Example text: Password123 reboot
• SMS factory reset. If the device has a SIM card that supports SMS, you can restore its configuration to factory settings with a text message. Simply enter your device's admin password followed by the text restore and separated by a space:
